Danyang-gu's greetings on a trip to the Korean temple

 73 Guin-gil, Yeongchun-myeon, Danyang-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do

It is a temple located at the foot of Sobaeksan Mountain in Yeongchun-myeon, Danyang-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do, and is the headquarters of the Cheontae Order of Korean Buddhism.

Known as the largest temple in Korea, buildings are lined up along the valley. Including Jeokmyeolgung Palace at the top of Suribong Peak, where the valley is located, the entire valley and the top of the mountain are located from a large rock stone marked with Sobaeksan Mountain Guinsa at the foot of the mountain. Although it is enormous in size, it is different from the Jogye Order's temples, which mainly use buildings for Buddhist purposes, except for Seolbeopbojeon, Daejojeon, and Gwaneumjeon Hall.

Sangwol Wongak Daejosa, a major founder of the Cheontae Order in Korea, made a pilgrimage to Munsudoryang and Amisan Fortress in 1930 from China and Tibet, and then returned to Korea in 1936 and built a thatched house in Sobaeksan in early 1945. This is the beginning of Guin Temple, which was renovated into a modern concrete building in 1966 and developed into a large temple.

There was a famous rumor that if you go to Guin Temple and pray for 3 days, one wish comes true. So many people came to Guin Temple, prayed for 3 days, and after praying for 3 days, people who actually made their wishes come true appeared. Since then, it has become noticeably prosperous. What is unique is that many of the people who came to Guin Temple to fulfill their wishes were patients. Guin Temple sold Azuri oil, which was proved by the great monk, and the patients bought and took it. However, it is difficult to find such an appearance now.

Because Tiantai Buddhism aspires to be a formality, it is taught that if you cultivate your mind by devoting yourself to voyeurism and build good karma with such a polished mind, you will be blessed. It is unfortunate, however, that there is a lack of monks who systematically digest these teachings. Even in the 1990s, the monks of Guin Temple were so thorough that they encountered each other by farming during the day and practicing prayers at night. The monks' passion for prayer, however, does not appear to be the same now. At the same time, the believers' prayer fever has also decreased significantly.

Nowadays, the Tiantai Buddhism is transforming into a Buddhist dance. Although the purpose is to preserve traditional Buddhist rituals, some criticize that it is somewhat far from the teachings of the Sangwol Wongak Grand Historical Survey.

For your information, the second Cheontaejong Temple is Samgwangsa Temple in Busan Metropolitan City.

If you search for Guin-sa on the navigation, it will guide you to the parking lot here

Normal cars can't operate here anymore, so parking is prepaid, so please pay for it!

From the parking lot to the entrance of Guin Temple, you have to take a Shindo transport bus

Please run every 20 minutes and avoid it from 10:40 to 12 o'clock during lunchtime!

It's finally a bus! It's been a while since I rode a bus

During the holidays, parking lots are very complicated and buses are crowded, so for those who are healthy

They're walking. There's a 15- to 20-minute slope!

After arriving in about 5 minutes, at first, I thought this building was a Guin Temple, and when I went down, it said it wasn't here, it was the entrance!

There is even a separate post office at the bus terminal from Seoul!

How great was Tiantai Buddhism's birthplace in the past

Buses to Seoul Gangnam or Dong Seoul ran separately from here

It was an amazing scene

As you climb up the hill, you will see a daily order

Finally, we announce the beginning of Gu-Sa!

The next one is the Old Man's Heavenly Gate. It's not a normal Heavenly Gate

It's like you're going through the gate

The center is a lane and both sides are walking advice!

The high buildings on the uphill climb have a completely different atmosphere from the existing temples

I thought this was Gu-Sa, but the group and we went up to the top of the hill and watched it

I think it's going to be easy. I think it's going up just looking forward

As I went up, I was out of breath and shy about young people

I took a breath while drinking mineral water

The building that appeared when it was constantly hot and I was out of breath!

Wow, is this normal!

This is Gwangmyeongjeon!

There is an elevator inside Gwangmyeongjeon Hall that you don't have to walk!

Press the 7th floor to go to the top-level contrast dictionary

When I got out of the elevator, another new world came out

Looking at where we came up, I can't believe this is such a high place

The view is amazing

I can feel the energy because it's so obvious

The wind is cool, so I can see the scenery of Gu-In-Sa

It was a bit chaotic with lanterns and various preparations at the temple in preparation for the Buddha's birthday, but it was a strange sight to see!

I can't believe I'm seeing such a wonderful flower on my way down

If you pray for 3 days, one wish will come true
As I came down, I heard Gwaneumjeon and I was so hungry

I decided to have a delicious lunch on my way to Danyang rather than nearby!

As Buddha's birthday approaches, everyone wears a lantern at a nearby temple

I hope you can go to Gu-Sa-In, too
